The Power Forum will be addressed by some of the most respected leaders and commentators in the European power and utilities sector, including: Knud Ledeboer, Siemens; Mark Tetley, Nuclear Risk Insurers; and Dr. Pascal Rochat, Active Niche Funds. Chris Lambert from the Westminster Energy Forum will deliver the keynote address on, "The balance of power - implications of strategic trends in the multi-polar energy world".
Commenting on this year's Power Forum, Gordon Springett, Leader of Marsh's Power and Utility Practice for EMEA, said: "This year's Power Forum will focus on both the long and short-term issues facing the power industry globally in 2008. These range from the immediate pressures associated with rising electricity and fuel input prices and the growing demand for power, through to systemic challenges relating to climate change.
"While European power firms are responding to these challenges in a number of ways this involves risks to their businesses which they must mitigate as far as possible in the interest of their stakeholders and consumers."
