New joiners back a Sure thing at Marsh

Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser, today announces three senior appointments to its International Surety Practice. Steve Powney, Steven Lewis and Tricia Burgess have all joined Marsh from Aon’s Surety and Guarantee team. Marsh is the world leader in surety, working with more than half of the Fortune 1000.

Mr Powney will lead the International Surety Practice for Marsh in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), while Steven Lewis and Tricia Burgess will focus on developing Marsh’s pan-European surety business among the region’s largest companies.

Steve Powney worked at Aon for 10 years and was Managing Director of the firm’s Surety and Guarantee team. He has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specialising in lending and guarantees.

Steven Lewis has been appointed as Senior Vice President. He was previously a Director in Aon’s Surety and Guarantee Practice for 15 years. During his career, Mr Lewis worked in the UK, US and Continental Europe in various surety and underwriting roles. Tricia Burgess joins Marsh as Vice President. She was previously a Senior Bond Administrator in Aon’s Surety and Guarantee Practice for 19 years.
