Alex Moczarski - President International Division, Marsh Inc.

Alexander Moczarski is President of the International Division of Marsh Inc., comprising all the countries outside North America. Prior to this role he was CEO of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. From July 2004 to May 2006 he was President & CEO of the company’s International Specialty Operations, a region that encompassed Africa, Asia, Pacific and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Mr Moczarski began his career in 1977 with J. Chayter & Sons in Cambridge, UK. In 1979 he joined American International Group (AIG) in New York, as Internal Auditor for Latin America and the Caribbean. From 1982 to 1985 he was CFO of AIG’s operations in Colombia. Subsequently, he was appointed CEO of AIU Chile in 1985 and of AIG’s operations in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay from 1988 to 1993. He was President of the Association of Foreign Insurers in Argentina from 1989 to 1993.

Mr Moczarski joined Marsh in 1993 as Director of Planning and Development for Argentina and Chile. He was later appointed as a Managing Director at Marsh Inc.’s International Specialty Operations and COO and Executive Director of Marsh SA Chile. In 2004 he was appointed as Region Head for the Latin America & Caribbean Region.

Mr Moczarski received his BA in Economic and Social Studies from the UK’s Manchester University in 1977. In 2003, he completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
