Power and utilities captive report

June 2008

This June 2008 report examines the use of captive insurance companies in the power and utilities sector in three regions: the US; Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA); and, Asia Pacific.

'Power and Utilities, Captive Benchmarking Analysis'
, is the first detailed examination of how captive usage compares by region and domicile in the power and utilities sector. Property damage remains a key risk for power and utility owners, a risk that is underwritten by over 30% of this sector’s captives globally. The report also reveals that captives owned by power and utilities companies have higher equity levels than in other industries across both EMEA and globally.
