Marsh was asked for risk and insurance assistance by a contractor bidding on a large PFI project.
We were able to help the contractor negotiate a more appropriate allocation of risk with the public authority involved in the project, compared to the arrangement drafted in the original tender.
This achieved a more cost-effective insurance placement that ultimately assisted the Value for Money assessment of the project, and demonstrated that the contractor had given the issue of risk serious consideration as part of its bid.
The Contractor went on to be successfully appointed.
